Service Department
The Service Department has three Service Officers, certified and trained by the Governors Office of Veterans Affairs. These officers serve as a link between the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the veterans and their families, assisting them to apply for any benefits to which they may be entitled. These services are provided without charge, and the officer shall not be liable for any errors of omissions or commission that may possibly occur.
All veterans should bring their DD 214 to our office for record
purposes and for possible future benefits. If you do not have this
record, our Service Officers can help you apply for this and record
it in the Richland County Recorder’s Office, so you will never
have to worry about getting one again.
Some of the more common benefits are:
• Disability Pension
• Widow’s Pension
• Service and Non-Service Connected Compensation
• DIC (Dependency and Indemnity Compensation)
• Home Loan
• Health Care
• Life Insurance
• Ohio Veterans Home Applications
• Vital Records
• Increases
• Appeals
• Death Benefits
• E.V.R;s
• Income verification statements
• Veterans grave markers, flags, and standards
